The Shalom Dayenu Circle has three interrelated opportunities for engagement:
"Hillel"-taking personal action
"Ha Ir"-finding like minded individuals and organizations to join our efforts to live more sustainably
"Tikkun Olam"-advocating for state and federal lawmaking to support the elimination of fossil fuel and widespread adaptation of renewable energy
Why is this important?
According to the UN, "Since the 1800s, human activities have been the main driver of climate change, primarily due to the burning of fossil fuels (like coal, oil, and gas) which produces heat-trapping gases."
How do we experience climate change?
-More severe storms
Conservation and the widespread construction of wind and solar power can provide us with a future without oil spills and severe weather patterns.
